The Catholic Bishops of the United States have unequivocally committed themselves and the whole Catholic commmunity to the following set of goals.
Catholic Schools will continue to provide a Gospel-based education of the highest quality.
Catholics schools will be available, accessible and affordable.
The bishops will launch initiatives in both the private and public sectors to secure financial assistance for parents, the primary educators of their children, so that they can better exercise their right to choosse the best schools for their children.
Catholic schools will be staffed by highly qualified administrators and teachers who would receive just wages and benefits, as we expressed in our pastoral letter "Economic Justice for All"
At OLPH, our Christ-given Catholic faith is part of the curriculum of every class taught at the school.
Every Friday, the students attend Mass, pairing up with their "Prayer Partners" where classes of older students are partnered with classes of the younger students.
Every morning at assembly, students recite prayers, read the Bible, recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and sing the Star Spangled Banner. At this assembly, they pray for the sick and collect cans for the needy.
Students from the school volunteer to serve as altar servers for both school Masses and the Sunday Masses. Second grade prepares students for First Reconciliation and First Communion, and the
