PARENT VOLUNTEERS
All parents or guardians of our students are required to perform 40 hours of volunteer work for the school, 20 hours for single parents and those pre-paying the tuition in one payment. Helping your child's school serves so many positive purposes.
First, volunteering helps maintain lower tuition rates. The school could not possibly pay for the services parents perform without a huge jump in tuition.
Second, children appreciate seeing their parents working alongside them. Children often put more effort in their studies when they see that their parents are willing to work with them.
Four hours of volunteer time are also required to help with the annual fiesta. These hours are not included in the 40. The fiesta helps to fund the school in a big way, and keeps tuition low. Therefore, it is important that parents help however they can to support the fiesta.
Haven't put in your volunteer hours yet? There are dozens of ways to help the school. Find something you like, and talk to Mrs. Ryan in the office about it.
